KABUL: (MEP) At least ten Resolute Support service members were killed in a vehicle-borne explosive device attack in Bagram, reports said Monday.
A statement released by NATO-led Resolute Support (RS) mission states, the attack occurred around 1:30 pm, leaving at least three soldiers also wounded.
“We’re deeply saddened by this loss,” said Brig. Gen. Wilson A. Shoffner, Resolute Support Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications. “On behalf of General Campbell and all of Resolute Support, our heartfelt sympathies go out to the families and friends of those affected in this tragic incident, especially during this holiday season.”
It is Resolute Support policy to defer casualty identification to the relevant national authorities. The incident is currently under investigation.
