The accident took place late Wednesday after the bus overturned near the border with Saudi Arabia.
Initial reports said 14 passengers were killed and 36 injured.
The Petra news agency says the driver apparently lost control before the bus overturned.
Those injured in the accident have been shifted to hospitals, with most of them in critical conditions, according to various sources.
