Roadside bomb explosion left 18 civilian killed in Herat and Kandahar provinces.

“A car carrying civilians hit a roadside bomb in Khak Chupan district of Meywand city last night” Samim Kheplwak, the Kandahar provincial governor spokesman told the Middle East Press

He said in this incident 11 civilians including women and children were killed.

“The roadside bomb had been placed by the armed Taliban to target military convoy when it blew up” Kheplwak added

“Roadside bomb in Kham Kharband village of Herat also killed 7 civilians” Jilani Farhad, the Herat provincial governor spokesman told the Middle East Press

2 children, 3 women and 2 men were the victims of this explosion as he said.

Roadside bombs are usually being used to target the Afghan military convoys but many civilians have been killed instead.
