2 Hezb-e-Islami Uzbekistan members arrested in Kabul: NDS

KABUL: (MEP) – Two Afghan nationals adhered to Hezb-e-Islami Uzbikistan, were arrested in Kabul, the national directorate for security (NDS) said in a statement Tuesday.

The search operation of the NDS personnel were carried out in 5th police district of the Kabul city, where Fahim Jan, native to Narkh district of Maidan Wradk province and another, Ebadullah resident of Kohi Safi district of Parwan province were arrested, the statement said.

Both suspects confessed of what they called terrorist practices trained under the instruction of a leader Hejratullah for at least 40 days in Miramshah and Mehrali districts of Pakistani Waziristan tribal region.

They said they had been trained how to launch suicide attack and armed attacks in Warduj district of Northern Province of Badakhshan, said the statement, wakht reported.

Their case are under full consideration by the organs concerned, with more details would be revealed, the NDS concluded.
