Naweed Frotan, spokesman for the governor of Badakhshan said the explosion occurred on Tuesday evening In Yakh Dara area when a police Ranger vehicle struck a roadside bomb.
According to him, Ranger vehicle was damaged in the explosion and killed a popular uprising force and a national police troop wounded.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
