2 members of a family killed on having alleged illegal relationship

KABUL: (MEP) – A teenage boy and a woman, both of a same family, were shot dead in Nahrin district of northern Baghlan, officials confirmed.

Based on a report, a man killed his grandson and daughter-in-law for what they believed having illicit relationship.

This was the third brutal act happened over the past two weeks in Baghlan where such cases take place frequently.

The district chief of Nahrin, however, has rejected the subject of illicit relationship between the two slain people. He added the murderer was under their custody.

“There has been some family dispute not the case of illicit relationship. The medical reports have also rejected adultery with the girl. However, the murderer is in our custody,” district chief Abdul Fatah Atif told Ariana TV.

Based on the report of Human Rights Commission, violence against women has increased by 24 percent as compared to past year.
