2 More Suspects Arrested in Rape Case of Women in Kabul
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Two more suspects have been arrested in connection to the rape case of four women in capital Kabul, security officials said Monday.
Deputy interior minister for security, Gen. Ayub Salangi, said the two suspects were arrested by police from southeastern Ghazni province.
Gen. Salangi further added that the two suspects had managed to escape capital Kabul but were arrested by policemen.
This comes as at least three people were arrested in connection to kidnapping and rape case of four women in capital Kabul.
Kabul police chief, Gen. Zahir Zahir, told reporters on Sunday that the suspects were involved in kidnapping and rape of four women in Paghman district of Kabul.
According to reports, the women were raped by the gang in Paghan district while they were returning from a wedding ceremony a week ago.
Gen. Zahir said the head of the group was identified as Nazar Mohammad who was leading a gang of 16 people and was jailed in the past over robbery and kidnap charges.
