26 Dead in Khost Suicide Attack

KABUL: (Middle East Press) A deadly suicide attack killed at least 26 people and injured many more Sunday evening in southeastern Khost province, local officials said.

Provincial Police Chief, Faizullah Ghairat said the incident took place near a military check post where Afghan and foreign soldiers are stationed.

Ghairat added that those wounded in the blast have been transferred to the nearby hospital and their health conditions are critical.

There were no immediate claim of responsibility for the fatal attack.
