3 Civilians kills, injured 9 By Explosion in Ghazni province
KABUL: (MEP) – At least 12 civilians including women and children were killed or injured following a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in eastern Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
The incident took place early Saturday morning in Deh-Yak district after a civilian vehicle struck with a roadside bomb, Khaama reported.
Provincial governor spokesman, Shafaq Nang confirming the report said at least three civilians were killed and nine others were injured following the explosion.
District police chief Faiz Mohammad Tofan also confirmed the incident and casualties. No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibilit behind the incident.
Local officials blame Taliban group for the incident as Taliban fighters frequently use improvised explosive device as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces which normally lead to civilian casualties.
