KABUL: (MEP) – Four Taliban IED planters were killed by their own explosives in Maiwand district of southern Kandahar province, an official said Wednesday, wakht reported.
The event took place when the Taliban wanted to transfer Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) inside their car to the capital city, but the devices went off killing 4 insurgents in Daikobat area of the district, Jawid Faisal, governor spokesman said in a statement.
Neither security forces nor civilians have sustained life or property loses in the explosion, the source assured.
The provincial officials blame the Talban for using roadside mines and bomb attack as the weapon of choice for the war policy against the security forces, but mostly killing civilians.
