KABUL (MEP) – The Interior Ministry says security forces have managed to rescue more than 40 people, including women, children and newborns, from shooting at the 100-bed hospital in Dasht-e-Barchi, kabul.
The explosion, then shooting took place around 10:00 Tuesday, May 12 in the PD13 area of Dasht–e- Barchi, western Kabul city.
Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said security forces had so far managed to rescue more than 40 civilians, including women, children and newborns, from the area.
He did not report the exact number of attackers, but said efforts were underway to destroy them.
The number of dead and wounded in the attack has not been announced yet.
The armed Taliban has denied involvement in the attack.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
