KABUL: (MEP) – The police in northern Baghlan detained suicide attackers along with seizing weapons when the rebels were busy making suicide vests and bombs in a house in northern province of Baghlan.
The detained people had direct contact with the enemies of Afghanistan stationed in Pakistan, said the security officials.
“A group of insurgents commanded by a Taliban-designated district governor Maulvi Qadeer were busing making suicide vests and bombs in the raided house,” said Aminullah Amarkhail, the police chief of Baghlan.
He called on the Taliban and other rebel groups to lay down their weapons and join the peace process and begin a normal life along with their families.
“Before that we take action against them we want them to renounce violence and live like other citizens.”
Over the past one month, the Baghlan police have seized 4 hidden arms depots of Taliban in the province with detaining several insurgents, Ariana news reported.
