Local authorities in Parwan province announce a suicide attack on a convoy of foreign forces in Bagram district of the province.
Wahida Shahkar, spokesperson for Parwan Governor told the Middle East Press that the attack took place yesterday night (April, 8) in Barikab District of the province.
According to him, the attack was carried out on a convoy of foreign troops, due to which, five foreign troops were killed and a number of them were wounded.
A spokeswoman for the governor of Parwan said that as well, a number of civilians were injured in the incident.
Mss. Shahkar argued that a foreign troops` tank had been destroyed.
A commander of US-based forces in Afghanistan confirming the attack, has said that four of his troops were killed in the attack.
Armed Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Bagram district is among the almost insecure districts of Parwan province, where US troops have a base and many have been targeted by suicide attacks and rocket attacks.
