60 Taliban Insurgents Killed In Military Operations

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 60 Taliban insurgents were killed following military operations by Afghan National Army (ANA) forces in the past 24 hours.

According to Gen. Zahir Azimi, Defense Ministry spokesman, the operations were conducted Tuesday in seven provinces by Afghan armed forces.

Gen. Azimi said a number of Taliban insurgents were also injured and three others were arrested during the operations.

He further added that the Afghan armed forces also confiscated various types of weapons, ammunition and explosives from the insurgents.

The anti-government armed insurgent groups have not commented regarding the reports yet.
