7 Civilians Killed, Wounded in Clashes between Pakistani and Afghan Forces

KABUL (MEP) – As a result of clashes between Afghan and Pakistani military forces in the Kunar province`s border areas, three civilians were killed and four injured, including one child.

Clashes broke out between Afghan and Pakistani border forces yesterday, when Pakistani soldiers attempted to do illegal movements.

Kunar governor’s spokesman, Abdul Ghani Mosamam, told MEP that the conflict ended this morning Monday, October 28.

After the illegal movements by the Pakistani soldiers, Afghan security Forces in cooperation with the popular individuals responding to the moves, fired rockets on Pakistani soldiers.

After fires were carried out by Afghan soldiers, Pakistani military opened fire and struck rockets killing three civilians and wounding four people, including one child.

The spokesman for the Kunar governor said the dead were all women and two men and one woman were among the injured who were taken to hospital.

The Pakistan’s rocket attacks are not new, earlier, it had carried out several attacks on Afghan border areas, especially in Kunar province, that left major casualties.
