7 Killed By Taliban Attack on Police Checkpoint in Afghanistan

KABUL: (MEP) – Regarding to local authorities in Western Herat province of Afghanistan, at least seven people were killed following an attack by Taliban militants on a security check post in this province.

“A group of militants up to 15 people attacked a security check post. Four police officers and three civilians died during the attack,”- said local police chief Shir Aga Aliqozai.

He added that as a result of the shooting, which lasted for about an hour, law enforcement officers killed four attackers, Voice of Russia reported.
