75 Taliban Militants Killed In Afghan Coordinated Operations

KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to Ministry of Interior (MoI), At least 75 Taliban militants were killed during counter-terrorism operations in the past 24 hours.

Following a statement by MoI, the militants were killed in Nangarhar, Parwan, Kunduz, Zabul, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Ghazni, Farah and Helmand provinces of Afghanistan.

The statement further added Afghan national army, Afghan national police and Afghan intelligence – national directorate of security (NDS) operatives jointly conducted the operations.

At least 28 Taliban militants were also injured and 4 others were detained during the operations, MoI said.

The statement also added that Afghan security forces confiscated numerous  types of weapons, ammunition and explosives following the operations.

Afghan police forces also foiled  two improvised explosive device (IED) during operations in Paktia and Heart provinces, MoI said.

The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report yet.
