KABUL: (MEP) – About 8 cold storages are going to be established in Kabul, Kandahar, Balkh, Kunduz, Nangarhar and Herat provinces.
An agreement to that effect has been signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and an Afghan construction company, wadsam reported.
This comes as many farmers have complained about the absence of cold storages in the country that has resulted in the decay of their fruits and vegetables.
Owed to the suitable weather conditions, agricultural production this year has significantly increased.
The establishment of cold storages will ensure a successful export of the agriculture products.
