9 Members Of Family Killed, Injured In Kunduz Airstrike

MEP: Members of a family claim that as a result of an air raid by security forces in Kunduz city, three members of them were killed and six others were injured.

Qari Miraaj, a member of the family who is a resident of Madrasa village said, in the security forces airstrike conducted last night, members of his family were killed and wounded.

The dead include his father, mother and a younger boy and the injured are four women, one child and one man, he added.

Meanwhile, Asadullah Omarkheil Kunduz governor confirmed the air operations in parts of the city but did not provide details on casualties.

In the meantime, Ahmad Jawed Salim, press officer of security commandos to Afghanistan told the Middle East Press, the operation was launched to crackdown two terrorist groups on the outskirts of Kunduz.

He dismissed the civilian casualties in the incident, said four armed Taliban members were killed whose bodies remained in the battle field and three other members of the group were injured and six suspects have been arrested.
