96 insurgents linked peace route in Baghlan province

KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 96 anti-government armed insurgents connected peace process in northern Baghlan province.

Local officials in Baghlan said the militants gave up bloodshed and handed over their weapons to the local government and the officials further added that the militants were formerly involved in anti-government insurgency activities in Pul-e-Hesar district of Baghlan province.

Baghlan Local officials welcomed the decision by anti-government armed militants connecting to government and said the move by militants will have a positive crash on security situation in this province.

Taliban militant group and the anti-government militant groups has not commented regarding the report so far.
