KABUL: (MEP) At least 27 insurgents were killed in military operations launched by Afghan National Army (ANA), the Ministry of Defence announced Saturday.
Dawlat Waziri, Spokesman for Defence Ministry said the operations were conducted in Naad-Ali, Khanshin, Washir and Sangin districts of Helmand province as well as Chahar-dara district of Kunduz of province.
“Following air-raids in Helmand districts, 16 insurgents were killed as clashes and operations still ongoing in the districts” Waziri wrote on his tweeter page.
According to Waziri, 11 other insurgents were also killed in Chahar-dara district of Kunduz province in the airstrikes by Afghan military.
Meanwhile, the Ministry announced, at least 10 anti-government rebels have been killed and three others wounded in past 24 hours in Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul and Herat provinces.
