Five Suspects Arrested On Charges Of Drug Trafficking

MEP: The anti-drug police has arrested five suspects accused of intoxicants and narcotics trafficking and were sent to judicial center of the fight against crime, alcohol and drugs.

The judicial center issued a statement on Wednesday, said the people were arrested in relation to four cases of drug trafficking this week.

The arrests were made from Kabul and Baghlan provinces, separately with plenty of drugs and alcohol, the statement added.

13 kg heroin, 79 kilograms of morphine, 209 kilograms of opium, more than 61 kilograms of hashish, 1876 liters of alcohol, 1,82,60 Afghani cash, two weapons, seven mobile phone sets and three vehicles were recovered from the suspects possession, it further added.

According to judicial center of the fight against crime, alcohol and drugs, 40 people in connection with 30 separate cases of intoxicants and narcotics from different provinces have been detained and sent to the center during the past two months.
