The Relationship Between Iran And Saudi

MEP: Al- Monitor reported, Riyadh unofficially sent a message to Tehran to clarify the fact that disparaging remarks by Grand Mufti about the Iranians is not Saudi government’s official position about Iran.

Hajj is just one out of several other disagreements between the two countries in the region. Riyadh and Tehran have indirectly been involved in confrontations in Syria, Yemen and Bahrain.

Neither Saudi nor Iranian experts are so optimistic about the real change in behavior between the two governments.

Iranians believe that continuing tensions lead to instability in Saudi Arabia and the House of Saud will eventually fall.

These days despite the harsh rhetoric, a change in the current process between Tehran and Riyadh may happen sooner than expected.

It has been reported that pulses had been exchanged to mitigate the crisis as well as to create understanding between the two countries.
