Who’s Nahed Hatter? And Why Was He Killed?

MEP: Nahed Hatter, the Jordan writer and journalist, was born in a Christian family in “Alfhys” near Oman and got his M.A in “contemporary philosophy of Salafi beliefs” at the University of Jordan, the school of Social Sciences and Philosophy.

Over the years 1977, 1979 and 1996 he went to jail several times and in 1998 he was subjected to an attempted assassination, which led to several successive surgeries. Ultimately in the same year he had to emigrate from Oman to Lebanon for security reasons.

He played a major role in the critique of political Islam, beliefs of ethnicity, and also Marxist experience in Arab countries, and his most important articles are related to the way how contemporary Jordanian society was formed.

Hatter, prior to his death, was a journalist to the Lebanese newspaper and his articles House had been banned in Jordan since September 2008.

The journalist was summoned to court on charges of insulting the divine essence (God) and was assassinated in front of the gates of the Al-adl Al-Aman Palace. He was senselessly slandered for the aim of hiding the main reason why he was summoned to the court and eventually killed.

According to Hatter, they were under the wrong impression of the printed photograph which showed ISIS point of view towards heaven and in any way couldn’t have undermined the religion. However, it was the basis of their accusation.

The history of Jordan is rife with crimes of this sort, and this journalist was illegally sentenced to death only because of the directness of speech and free thinking without any religious justification behind it.

If we look carefully, we learn that the country supporting this murder the most is Saudi Arabia. This journalist was the one who backed up Arab countries, and most importantly the Palestinian issue, defended Hezbollah and the axis of resistance against Israel, spread revelations about US efforts and the West acts to the collapse of Arab culture, condemned Saudi war in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Libya, for the purpose of creating modern post – Ottoman government, and decried the oppressive Takfiri school.

Removing such an outspoken journalist would be a relief. Because a few months ago, he published an article entitled “Massacre” in which crimes of the Saudis and the massacre of Muslims in their hands were also depicted.

And of course Saudi Arabia habitually ordered its progeny, ISIS to adopt and implement the policy of crack-down and murder, in order to gag or remove journalists and the media. They also closed Jordanian authorities’ mouth to the point that Jordanian government banned publication of any news about the assassination of Nahed Hatter.

The truth will eventually be known and evident whereas falsehood is shallow and will vanish!
