Afghan Troops Kill Senior Taliban Governor For Pusht Rod District
MEP: As a result of security operation in the districts of Bala Baluk and Pusht Rod of Farah province, 18 members of the armed Taliban, including the district governor were killed and 15 others wounded.
The operation was launched last night in the two ‘mentioned’ districts, a statement by Ministry of Defence said on Thursday.
18 members of the armed Taliban, including Mullah Nematullah Jahadi, the governor of Pusht Rod district were killed and 15 others injured, the statement added.
Ministry of National Defense says the operation will continue to fully complete clearing the district of Bala Baluk and Pusht Rod.
The armed Taliban did not comment on the report so far.
