Clashes Continue In Kunduz As 120 Taliban Members Killed

MEP: Deadly clashes between government forces and the armed Taliban in the city of Kunduz entered its sixth day as it continues apace, and so far some 120 members of the Taliban have been killed.

A large number of residents have taken shelter in their homes and air strikes against Taliban positions continue heavily.

Airstrikes carried out by helicopters and fighter jets and target many of parts of the city with rockets and some of the rockets hit residential areas.

The armed Taliban started its deadly attacks on Kunduz city from last Monday from four sides but luckily a day after security forces were able to expel the Taliban from the central city, however conflicts have not yet ended in the outskirts of the city.

Meanwhile, Taj Mohammad Jahid, Secretary of the Interior on Thursday traveled to Kunduz to examine closely the security situation in the city.
