UK FM Johnson Apologizes To Saudi Arabia
UK Foreign Minister Boris Johnson said that Saudi Arabia is a regional ally of Britain.
UK Foreign Minister Boris Johnson said during a speech in Rome on Thursday that Iran and Saudi Arabia are “puppeteering and playing proxy war” in the Middle East.
He stated that “there are politicians who are twisting and abusing religion and different strains of the same religion in order to further their own political objectives.”
But attending a conference in Bahrain, Johnson said that he meant Qatar and Iran not Saudi Arabia and added that Saudi Arabia is a regional ally of Britain.
He also lashed out at former Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, accusing him of supporting the Syrian terrorists.
