Zakhilwal Met Armed Taliban’s Supporter In Pakistan

MEP: Afghan ambassador in Islamabad during a meeting with Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, armed pro-Taliban and Pakistani scholar of Islam religious party leader, has raised various issues between the two countries.

Omar Zakhilwal, the Afghan ambassador in Islamabad has written on his Facebook page the meeting was held on Wednesday.

He said the two nation’s outstanding issues were discussed during the meeting and Afghanistan’s concerns have been expressed to Maulana Sami-ul-Haq.

However, no further information in relation to the details of the meeting, by the Afghan ambassador in Islamabad was given, but it is thought that the latest round of peace talks was one of the important parts of dialogue.

The meeting comes as recently, Russia and Pakistan are trying to give a new flavor for the Afghan peace process this winter that had stalled last winter.

Earlier, Mahmood Saiqal, the Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations Security Council had said at a recent meeting that those armed Taliban who did not attend at the peace talks, should be included in the black list.
