Pakistani Army Deployed In Afghan Borders
MEP: Pakistani media quoting security sources reported that the Pakistani army has deployed its heavy artillery in the border areas of “East-South” of Afghanistan.
According to the Express Tribune, Pakistani security officials say heavy artillery army in the border areas of Torkham with Afghanistan’s East and the border areas of Chaman to southern Afghanistan has been deployed.
Pakistan army claims that terrorist training camps of “Jamat-ul-Ahrar” affiliated with the Taliban have targeted Pakistan with missile and artillery attacks in the tribal areas into Afghanistan that are border with areas of Mahmand and Khyber.
Pakistani security sources said that the security forces were also deployed in the border areas.
Pakistani security forces have stepped up security and military patrols along the border with Afghanistan and state of emergency has been declared in North and South Waziristan.
Firing rockets and heavy artillery to the border areas of Afghanistan has displaced hundreds of families.
After a deadly suicide attack in Pakistan’s Sindh province last week, Afghanistan, and Pakistan’s bilateral relations turned into crisis and Pakistan has fired missile rockets in the areas of Kunar and Nangarhar provinces.
According to reports in the last few days nearly 400 rockets were fired by Pakistan in the provinces of Afghanistan.
