Bomb Blast Kills Three Policemen In Baghlan
MEP: As a result of a bomb attack on a local police post in Chashme Sher area of Pul-e Khumri, capital of Baghlan province, three people were killed and five others were injured.
Zabihullah Shujah, Baghlan Police Command spokesperson told the Middle East Press, the explosion took place on Saturday evening.
He said one local police soldier and two of his fellow policemen were killed and two other soldiers were injured in the blast.
Shujah added that three others who are believed to be the perpetrators of the incident, also sustained injuries and are currently under the security organs treated in hospital.
Baghlan police spokesman did not provide details on the nature of the blast and said the case is under investigation.
He said the explosion occurred when the local police had taken several people who looked suspicious for inspection.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
