180 Afghan Village Families to Benefit from Power

KABUL: (MEP) – Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) has begun work on the installation of power poles and extension of power line from Mazar-e-Sharif city to Rubat village in Chimtal district of Balkh.

Costing USD 40,000, the project is funded by the National Solidarity Program (NSP).

“The power line has the capacity to generate electricity for 280 houses. Currently, 180 families who are living in the village will benefit from this project,” said District Chief Abdul Matin, Wadsam reported.

He added the project would be completed in the next 3 months.

The residents were deprived of electricity for a long time and were optimistic that the project would address their problems.
