Taliban Shadow District Chief For Pul-e-Khumri Injured

MEP: Armed Taliban shadow district chief for Pul-e Khumri, capital of Baghlan province along with eight others have been wounded in an operation by security forces in central Baghlan district and six others were killed.

Col Mohibullah Kohestani, central Baghlan district police chief said the operation was launched last night and until noon today (16 March) continued.

During the operation, Maulawi Lal Jan, Taliban shadow district chief for Pul-e-Khumri along with eight other Taliban members wounded and six others killed, he added.

Kohestani noted that no casualties incurred to civilians and security forces.

The armed Taliban did not comment on report.
