Big focus on a serious investigation regarding the Friday violent protest

This comes as President Ghani earlier said the government is committed to respond to the legal demands of the protesters.

Following the Friday violent protests in Kabul that claimed the lives of several protesters, days after a deadly bombing left nearly 90 dead, an emergency security meeting chaired by Ghani was held today.
In the meeting a big emphasis was placed on a serious investigation regarding the Friday violent protest.

According to a press release by the Office of the President, ARG Palace, the emergency meeting was attended by senior security officials.

The meeting concluded with the decision to launch a thorough investigation regarding the incident and find out those who have acted against the law while on the duty and take necessary actions in accordance with the enforced laws of the country.

This comes as President Ghani earlier said the government is committed to respond to the legal demands of the protesters.

The president ordered the security organizations to establish a tight security to guarantee lives of citizens.

In Friday protest that turned violent, protesters complained against loose security letting a waste-water tanker pass through many checkpoints and kill and wound lots of people mostly civilians in the following explosion in Kabul.

In Friday protest 7 people 7 were killed and 10 others wounded after the protest had turned to some clashes between protesters and the security forces.
