Coup Attempt in Venezuela

Fans of Venezuelan opposition leaders are struggling with Nicholas Maduro’s fans in Caracas, and are seeking a coup.

According to the Middle East Press, Juan Guido, has called on the people of Madonna to end President Nicolás Maduro’s rule, leaving home and come to the streets.

The Venezuelan opposition leader has claimed to have supported military troops to topple the government.

On the other hand, Venezuelan government officials have said they are trying to prevent a coup and call on government supporters to confront the opposition.

Meanwhile, Maduro has said that he has full military support, and stands against the coup and defeats the opposition.

Mr Guaidó, declared himself interim president three months ago and called for an end to Maduro’s rule.

Nevertheless, the United States and Russia, each of which have a role in the Venezuelan events and individually support Guido and Maduro, responded to the events of recent days.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wrote on his Twitter account “the US government fully supports Venezuelan people in fulfilling their demands for freedom and democracy.”

President Donald Trump also said that he closely monitored the situation in Venezuela and its events.

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry has accused Venezuelan opposition of provoking conflict.
