KABUL: (MEP) – An Afghan parliament member survived a suicide bomb attack in northern Kabul, confirmed the authorities, adding the blast caused casualties.
“A terrorist who attached explosives in his turban made his way to the home of Hamidullah Tokhi, a representative of southern Zabul province. The attacker detonated his explosive, injuring two people but Tokhi was not hurt in the incident,” a security source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The incident took place at around 4:30 local time, the source said, adding details will be released to the media later in the day, Xinhua reported.
Meanwhile, local media quoted unofficial sources as reporting that at least three people, including Tokhi, were injured in Friday’s blast which took place in his home in Kart-e-Parwan area of the city.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Taliban insurgent group, in most cases, was responsible for such bombings in the country.
