Largest Media Center in Afghanistan ‘BMC’ opened

KABUL: (MEP) – Bayat Media Center, the largest media center in Afghanistan, was inaugurated Tuesday in a glorious ceremony attended by President Hamid Karzai, Bayat Foundation officials, high-rank government officials, Parliamentarians and politicians here in Kabul.

This largest media center includes Ariana Television Network, Ariana News Channel, Ariana News Website, Ariana FM and Radio Ariana News.

With the opening of BMC, the local and international broadcasts of Ariana News Channel and Radio Ariana News were also officially started.

In his speech to the inaugural ceremony, the founder and chairman of Bayat Media Center, Dr. Ehsanollah Bayat, D.HumL, said this center would be used to convey the true voice of people of Afghanistan to the world.

Bayat Media Center was far more than a world-class building equipped with modern equipments, Senator Bayat said. “In fact, I would like to dedicate it as a lasting national legacy of communication, community, and technological innovation to the Afghan people, opening yet another new “window to the world” for our nation.”

“For me, this building is also about giving a voice to Afghanistan and establishing a means of connection for the Afghan community in our country and around the world.”

In his speech, Mr. Bayat added, “The voice enabled by this new building will reach and represent all regions of our great nation.”

Furthermore, he said the Bayat Media Center was aimed at supporting the freedom of expression which is one of the most valuable gains made over the past twelve years.
