Obama’s Plan OF Complete Troop Pullout “Risky”

KABUL: (MEP) – A former Vice President of the United States has criticized the recent plan of Obama administration to completely withdraw troops from Afghanistan until 2016.

Dick Chaney, who was Vice President of United States (from 2001 to 2009) under President George W. Bush, has said the Obama administration has made a “stupid” and “unwise” decision regarding troops’ pullout from Afghanistan.

U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday outlined a plan to withdraw all but 9,800 American troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year and pull out the rest by the end of 2016, ending more than a decade of military engagement triggered by the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.

Dick Chaney, however, told Fox News on Wednesday that he believes President Barack Obama is a “very, very weak president.”

“Obama needed to consult more on keeping a number of troops after 2016 in Afghanistan,” Chaney said.

“That’s stupid, it’s unwise, and it will in fact just reinforce the notion that we’re weak, that we’ve got a leader who doesn’t understand U.S. obligations and commitments around the world and is not prepared to act on them,” he said.
