Abducted Bank Worker Rescued in Kabul with Arrest of 3 Kidnappers

KABUL: (Middle East Press) An abducted bank employee was rescued by Afghan intelligence operatives after a group of three kidnappers were arrested in capital Kabul.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS), following a statement said the kidnappers were arrested during an operation from the 8th street of Taimani.

The statement further added that the group had kidnapped the credit controller of Afghanistan Commercial Bank (ACB), and were demanding $150,000 against his discharge.

NDS said the kidnappers were identified as Ehsanullah, Mukhtar and Jamishid, who are originally from northern Panjsher province.

Afghan intelligence operatives also confiscated 2 AK-74 weapons, 3 AK-47 rifles along with their 8 magazines, 7 military uniforms, 7 masks, 1 set of communication device, 1 corolla vehicle, 1 security camera, 4 sets of mobile phones, 16 SIM cards and 1 permit for weapon, NDS added.

The statement also added that the detained kidnappers are in custody of the Afghan intelligence for further research.
