About 200 Samangan’s families to have access for drinkable water

KABUL: (MEP) – Water storage is going to be established in Surkhak Cheshma village of Khuram Sarbagh district in Samangan province that will enable over 200 family units to have access to clean water.

The project, costing 3 million AFN, will be executed by the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development with financial collaboration from GIZ, Wadsam reported.

“A 1.5km water canal will transfer water from a water spring to the water storage facility,” said Mohammad Asif Dawlat, head of the Department.

Previously, the residents of the area had to travel long distances to bring potable water from water springs. Expected to complete in 7 months, the project will help address this issue of the residents.
