Afghan Airstrikes Destroy ISIS Radio Station In Nangarhar  

radio-station-microphoneKABUL: (MEP) The Afghan Air Force have carried out four air strikes against a radio station run by Islamic State (IS) terrorist group in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province.

The air raids were successfully targeted the terrorist radio station in Mamand Dara area on Monday and completely destroyed it as well as killing five operators of the radio in the same time.

According to security officials, the air strikes were carried out with the assistance of NATO forces.

Residents in the province have become progressively concerned over the radio station since it was launched known as the “Voice of the Caliphate” has been broadcasting the terror group sentiment and using the channel to recruit new members.

The airstrikes also killed at least 21 militants in the city, officials say adding that those killed in last night’s air strikes were important members of the IS group.

The radio station had initially started its programs in Pashto language but later launched Dari service as well attract more recruits.
