Afghan Police Arrested 2 Suicide Bombers in Kunar

KABUL: (Middle East Press) Two suspected suicide bombers have been arrested by Afghan national forces in eastern Kunar province.

Local security officials said, some suicide bombing vests have also been seized along with the two suicide bombers from Asadbad district.

Provincial police chief, Gen. Abdul Habib Syed Khel said the two bombers were looking to carry out dreadful attack in Jalalabad city.

Syed Khel further added the two suicide bombers were traced by intelligence operatives while they were on their way to Jalalabad city.

According to Syed Khel the two suicide bombers were originally from Khogyani district of Nangarhar province.

The militant groups have not so far commented regarding the report.
