KABUL: (MEP) – Recently Islamabad proclaimed that the Afghan Taliban would leave for Qatar soon and the closed office would be opened again. The spokesman of foreign ministry of Pakistan Izaz Ahmad Chaudhary told media that the recent visit of that country’s prime minister Advisor Sartaj Aziz to Afghanistan has good achievement and for maintenance peace and stability in the region, his country is searching positive ties with Afghanistan, BNA reported.
The political expert of Pakistan Rustam Shah Momand also said that his country has capability to exert pressure over Taliban to reopen their office in Qatar, so for the same purpose, the leaders of Taliban are under the pressure of Pakistan. During his visit from Kabul, the security advisor of prime minister of Pakistan Sartaj Aziz in meeting whit president Karzai and other high-ranking authorities of Afghanistan assured them that his country helps peace process. According to Chaudhary, the visit of Sartaj Aziz from Kabul removes the tensions increased recently between Kabul and Islamabad and would have positive impact on counterterrorism. During his visit from Kabul, Sartaj Aziz conveyed the message of prime minister of Pakistan Mis Nawaz Sharif to President Hamid Karzai, and the message invited president Karzai to visit Islamabad. But president of Afghanistan conditioned this to counterterrorism and promotion of peace process by Pakistan. The office of Taliban was opened in Qatar for promotion of negotiations between the government of Afghanistan and leaders of Taliban so to solve the differences existed between government of Afghanistan and Taliban. But, other Taliban opened this office in the name of office of Islamic Emirate; it was faced with harsh reaction of government of Afghanistan and finally closed and the negotiation that the solution be sought for differences, once more faced with stalemate.
The people of Afghanistan are ready every time to put ending point to all disputes through negotiation, so it established the peace high peace council till the problem of Afghanistan is solved by Afghans themselves. Every country who can help in this connection, Afghanistan welcomes it.
