Afghan security forces cannot solve their problems without international aid: Military analysts

KABUL: (MEP) – The Afghan security forces still cannot solve their problems without the assistance of international aid according to Jawed Kohistani, a military analyst.  He said, “Despite the Afghan security forces’ improved training during the last 12 years, but in terms of quality they still face serious problems.”

According to Amrullah Aman, another military analyst, the lack of professional management has caused the current problems.

Mr. Aman added that the Afghan security forces now only have the ability to deal with problems caused from internal factions within the country but cannot repel external threats.

The Afghan security forces have two serious tests; providing the security of the next year and taking on the complete security responsibility after the withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan after 2014.
