Afghanistan and Turkey Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghanistan and Turkey have signed the strategic cooperation agreement during Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan came to Kabul on Saturday.
The strategic cooperation agreement signed by the leaders of the two states focuses economic development, including agriculture, withdrawal, transport, construction and expansion of small and medium enterprises.
A commission will be formed for the implementation of the strategic cooperation agreement Kabul and Istanbul where the presidents of the two nations will have yearly conferences regarding the progress of the projects.
President Ashraf Ghani Ahamdzai said the signing of the agreement paves the way for long term cooperation between the two nations.
President Ghani further added that Turkey will assist Afghanistan to connect the Afghan government with Turkey through Turkmenistan and Caspian Sea, besides supporting Afghanistan to develop a better aviation organization.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey remains committed to support in maintaining peace and stability in Afghanistan and the county.
