KABUL: (MEP) – Afghanistan Presidential Palace in a statement says government of Afghanistan has announced soon it will boost economic and trade band with Russia, 1Tv reported.
The presidential press release adds that in a meeting held at presidential palace between Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Russian Deputy Minister for energy, Karzai emphasized on booming mutual economic and trade relationships between Kabul and Moscow.
A Russian delegation headed by Yori Senturin, Russian Deputy Minister for Energy during thier visit to Afghanistan has discussed investment opportunities in Afghanistan in various sectors.
Some reports added that in near future air transportation will commence operations between Afghanistan and Russian Federation.
Russia, despite having no military troops in Afghanistan in NATO framework, has supported in Afghanistan reconstruction sector since the past years.
Now, Afghan government has been in efforts of expanding ties in different sectors, amid economic and trade development of the country.
Economic analysts have called widening economic ties with Russia beneficial for Afghanistan.
