KABUL: (MEP) – “Problem of Afghanistan affects geopolitical landscape,” the Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs Erlan Abdyldayev stated today at the opening of “Afghanistan-2014: prospects of development of situation in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Challenges and threats to security in Central Asia in terms of withdrawal of the international security assistance forces” International Scientific and Practical Conference, 24 news agency reported.
According to him, Kyrgyzstan supports such priorities of the Afghan Government as development of economy, improvement of human capital assets. “Afghanistan is facing big problems today. But only Afghanistan itself can resolve them with assistance of world community. I call the U.N. to support the country in security, social and economic development. Afghanistan experts give different prognoses, but, unfortunately, they are mainly negative,” Erlan Abdyldayev said.
The scientific and practical conference on Afghanistan is being held in Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek. The Collective Security Treaty Organization’s Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha, the Representative of the U.N. in Central Asia Miroslav Jenca as well as international experts are taking part in the conference.
