The incident took place around 3:00am Monday morning when a hug fire erupted following the gas leak inside the house in the provincial capital of Herat province, Health officials from the Public Health directorate reported.
The victims include four women, four men and three children.
The provincial Police has also confirmed the incident in third area of the city
The incident comes as five people have been killed when a gas cylinder exploded and caused fire inside a residence in capital Kabul in July.
