American Soldier Killed In Nangarhar’s Achin
MEP: As a result of a roadside mine blast in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, an American soldier was killed.
The press office of resolute-support mission in Afghanistan confirmed the killing of the soldier in a statement on Wednesday.
The soldier was killed yesterday evening when while patrolling and operations, the statement added.
US troops were conducting operations on Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) positions that as a result of the roadside bomb explosion, one of them was killed.
The resolute-support mission has said that the killing of this soldier would not affect their mission in Afghanistan.
The report comes as last month another US soldier had been killed in Helmand province in battle with the armed Taliban.
