MEP: Local officials in the district of Central Baghlan say a senior leader of the armed Taliban has been killed during clashes with security forces.
Colonel Muhibullah central Baghlan district police chief told the Middle East Press, a Taliban leader named Seffatullah, at around 6:00 pm on Thursday as a result of clashes with security forces in the area of Wardaka was killed.
Seffatullah was involved in several armed attacks on civilians and a day before, a local police sustained injuries as a result of partition ambush led by him in the district, according to Muhibullah.
The village of Wardaka in Central Baghlan district, are of the areas where the armed Taliban are actively conduct plots against civilians and military.
The body of the slain armed Taliban leader is in the hands of security forces.
