Couple Shot Dead In Qaisar District
MEP: Local officials in Qaisar district of Faryab province say a couple were shot dead in their bed.
Abdul Karim Youresh, Faryab police spokesman said the incident occurred in the middle of the night in the village of Chechkto.
“Hesamuddin and Saamia were married about four months ago, have been killed as a result of gunshots in their bed” Youresh added.
According to Youresh, two half-brothers of Hesamuddin that previously disagreed on the legacy has been arrested by police in connection with the incident.
Faryab police spokesman noted the victim had already received death threats by his half-brothers and police investigation has been started in this regard.
Domestic violence is rapidly increasing in Faryab province, in the past two weeks, two women and a girl were brutally killed and their killers were also arrested.
